How do I get involved?
If you and your organisation would like to be involved in Stop. Make a Change. or would like further information, please contact smac-23@ceca.co.uk to register your interest and receive future communications.
What resources do I need to run a Stop. Make a Change event?
As well as a briefing pack for those organisations that register, there will be a series of resources that will be made available ahead of the event with details relating to individual commitments, about follow-on training activities; and about communications activities. In 2023, Stop Make a Change will be focused on a series of 'Conversation Starters'; to download these, and access further resources, click here. For resources from previous Stop. Make a Change campaigns click here.
What does it cost?
There is no cost to take part in Stop. Make a Change. All development costs have been met by the Civil Engineering Contractors Association with support from the Construction Industry Training Board through its Structured Fund.
What information will I need to provide?
Each organization that registers to take part in the event will be asked to provide contact details for the person that will be managing their activities. We will also ask for confirmation that you are willing to sign up to commitments. It is up to each organisation to decide what the commitments it will make are. To demonstrate the impact of the event, we will ask you for details of all sites that are taking part within your organization and approximate estimates of staff and suppliers involved. We would welcome details of your communications teams, to help with promotion of the event, and, finally, we would be keen to hear about case studies of how the commitments are being implemented in your business after the event.
Where can I find more details?
Full details of the event including registration, briefing documents, news updates and subsequent training will be available at www.stopmakeachange.co.uk.
Can I mention my organization’s involvement in Stop. Make a Change in marketing materials & tender documents?
We believe that organisations that take part in Stop. Make a Change should be able to highlight these activities as a demonstration of their commitment to raising industry standards. As such are happy for registered companies to include mention of their involvement in the event in their own promotional activities. We are especially keen for organisations to publicise SMAC-23 using the hashtags #StopMakeAChange or #SMAC23.
